The Department of Journalism at Emerson College develops young professionals with the curiosity and motivation to expose, uncover, clarify, and contextualize social, political, economic, and cultural issues, as global storytellers in a digital world of constantly evolving technology. Housed in the School of Communication, our department offers an undergraduate degree program in Journalism as well as two minors.

The curriculum for the on-campus Bachelor of Science (BS) in Journalism is experiential and designed to challenge emerging professionals with projects that progressively increase in complexity. Emerson journalists are encouraged to connect what they have learned in other parts of the College to their journalism studies and collaborate on local, national, and international stories that interest them.
